Community Service

Zeta Omicron is dedicated to involvement in the larger NEA community and within the Arkansas State campus as a whole!

Last semester, our girls were a part of so many fun service projects and initiatives. Our sisters worked to make and deliver Birthday Baskets for local youth and donated items for expectant mothers.

More recently, our chapter collected teddy bears to donate to local emergency aid groups for children in need. This is one of our favorite service traditions and ways to reach out to the Jonesboro community.

Our outreach and impact

Our 2023-'24 Service Team work tirelessly to oversee service and outreach opportunities on our university campus as well as in the greater NEA region. Emma Dold (PC'23) serves as our current Director of Service and is aided by her Service Assistant Abby Lillard (PC'23). These two have overseen our service projects for the last year to great success.

"This semester alone, we completed nearly 700 service hours serving our community. Some of our service events included a baby supply drive and women’s menstrual/hygiene supply drive for the local women’s shelter, making chemo care packages for patients receiving chemo treatment at St Bernard’s hospital, making cookies for our local fire and police departments, a stuffed animal drive for first responders to give to kids on their calls, cards for kids at the local miracle kids, and by participating in other events hosted by Arkansas State University. Seeing the smiling faces of the recipients of our service projects proves how impactful kindness, generosity, and service are on our community. As many sisters would agree, serving our community through service projects is extremely rewarding. It helps us to stay involved in not only the Arkansas State community but also the Jonesboro community and helps us to recognize that we can help better our community even if it is through small acts of service,"

- Emma Dold, Director of Service
